Bossier City, LA (KTBS) -

Students at Apollo Elementary in Bossier are doing what they can to help students at Highland Elementary in New Jersey.

The school was hit hard by hurricane Sandy.

Students are trying to raise funds to help send Highland 6th grade students on a graduation trip.

"It feel pretty good to be able to help. When Louisiana was hit by Katrina a lot of people from New Jersey came down here to help and we just want to pay it forward,  " one 5th grade students told us.

If you would like to help, you can drop off a donation at the school or mail a check to 2400 Viking Driver, Bossier City, LA, 71111.
