Study shows movies influence children to smoke

When movie stars light up cigarettes on screen, our children follow suit.  


That's according to a new report from the National Cancer Institute.   


Around two-thirds of contemporary hit movies contain smoking.  And studies show that children who are exposed to these movies are more likely to become smokers themselves.

In addition, the report found that tobacco companies are increasingly using other forms of kid-friendly media, such as the internet, to hook new customers.
