Louisiana "super plants'' will be the topic Saturday when LSU AgCenter horticulturist Dr. Allen Owings speaks at Akin's Nursery.
Ownings' presentation, including the Spring 2013 introductions, will be at 10 a.m.  at 5901 E. Kings Highway, Shreveport.
Louisiana Super Plants are trees, shrubs and flowers which have been tested in Louisiana and found to be superior performers.
