An incident involving a Kindergarten student at Sun City Elementary was brought to
our attention on Wednesday. The Bossier Parish School Board is continuing with an
internal investigation and is cooperating with the Bossier City Police Department’s
investigation into the incident. The employee has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of these investigations. He has been an outstanding Principal and school leader in the school system for 24 years with no past incidents such as this during his tenure. This matter did not involve corporal punishment as may have been reported.
We have extended the deepest of apologies to the child in question and his family. We also want to ensure the public that the safety and well?being of the children attending our schools is of utmost importance.
