Suspect Sought In Attempted Armed Robbery
Shreveport Police need help in locating a man they say attempted to rob a motorist at a local gas station in Shreveport's Highland neighborhood.
Back on January 31, 2013 at approximately 12:50 a.m., officers responded to the Triple J convenience store located in the 500 block of Stoner Avenue, to a reported attempted armed robbery. On scene at the business, the victim told authorities that while sitting in the parking lot of the store, a white male armed with a hand gun approached his vehicle and indicated that he had a gun. The passenger in the white SUV fled from the vehicle after seeing the suspect with a hand gun. The driver of the SUV sped off narrowly missing the robbery suspect. As the victim drove away from the parking lot, the armed suspect fired one round before running off. The driver of the SUV was not injured, and returned to the store later, contacting the police.
The suspect is described as a white male, about five feet five inches to five feet nine inches tall weighing 160- 170 pounds. Authorities are urging anyone with information about this crime to contact Caddo-Shreveport Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373.
