Man Wanted For Shooting At A Texas Nightclub Surrenders

Marquel Jermon Scott, 32, of Tyler surrendered to Tyler police officials about 3 p.m. Thursday.

Scott was wanted for one count of homicide and one count of aggravated assault in a shooting earlier this week at a Tyler nightclub.

The shooting happened in the Hyena Clubhouse in a North Tyler neighborhood. Since the establishment doesn't serve alcohol, it can legally stay open later.

Shots rang out inside the club around 2:30 a.m. on November 26th. Those shots struck two men. One of the victims, Keeston Fields of Tyler died at a hospital.

The other victim is John T Woods, is listed in critical condition at the hospital.

Investigators are now trying to figure out a motive.
