Suspect in Natchitoches shooting surrenders

A Natchitoches man wanted in connection with a July 19 shooting that wounded a local man has surrendered to police.

Jimmy Dornell Brown, 18, of the 800 block of Gentry Davis Street was booked on attempted murder and attempted armed robbery charges.

The shooting happened in the 500 block of Rowena Street. Police said Tracey Guy, 35, was walking toward his vehicle when a man came around from the back yard and tried to rob him. Guy was shot in the abdomen.
