Arkansas Department of Community Correction officials say a resident who walked away from the Community Correction Center in Texarkana has been taken into custody.
Department officials say Texarkana, Ark., police arrested 23-year-old Jessie Heath near U.S. Highway 82 Friday afternoon. Officials allege he used torn bed sheets to drop through a fifth-floor window when he fled the facility shortly after 3 a.m. Thursday.
Heath was taken to the Miller County jail. A sheriff's officer says Heath hadn't been able to retain an attorney yet.
He was placed at the community correction center on a commercial burglary charge out of Polk County.
Officials say before walking away, Heath would have been released to probation supervision at the end of October.
