Rose Society chief to speak Saturday

“All About Roses” is the topic of a Saturday talk by Shreveport Rose Society President Robert Powell. The presentation will be at 11 a.m. Feb. 23 at Akin’s Nursery and Landscape Co., 5901 E. Kings Highway, Shreveport.
Powell will cover selection and care of roses, answer questions and help participants choose the right rose for their garden. Admission is free. For more information, call 318-868-2701.
