Bossier Parish Sheriff's officials are on the scene of a school bus accident on LA Hwy 3, or Benton Road.

Authorities say a school bus carrying 25 students from area elementary, middle and high schools was stopped in the northbound lane of Hwy 3 when it was rear-ended.

Shortly after, another vehicle rear-ended the second one.

Officials say three children were taken to local hospitals with what are described as minor injuries.

Bossier Sheriff spokesperson, Bill Davis, says all parents have been notified and Hwy 3 has been restricted to just one lane.

No word yet on whether any citations have been issued.
