One of the best petunias for Louisiana is the group called "Tidal Wave". Flower colors available in this series are cherry, pink, purple and silver. Plants can reach heights of 30" with an equal spread. Petunias prefer full sun. Plant no later than mid spring for best results. Fall plantings work well also. Petunias need a well drained landscape bed and slightly acid soil. Provide a two foot spacing between plants.
