Three men wearing masks and carrying assault rifles robbed the Relay Station, a truck stop-casino on Louisiana Highway 1 south of Shreveport, before dawn today.

The men went into the business about 3 a.m. They tied up a cashier and security guard with duct tape before taking a safe and an undetermined amount of money from a cash register, Caddo Parish sheriff's deputies said. Neither employee was injured.

The getaway car was later found alongside Highway 1 about a quarter-mile north of the Relay Station. A ski mask and gloves were found there, deputies said.

That car had been reported stolen in Shreveport.

No arrests had been made this morning.
