Twelve busted in East Texas prostitution sting

Twelve men were arrested over the weekend in a prostitution sting in Longview, Texas.

Police said female police officers posed as prostitutes on Friday in the East Marshall Avenue area of Longview.

The dozen men who were arrested solicited the officers and offered to pay for sex, police said. All 12 were booked on prostitution-related charges, a Class B misdemeanor.

The men who were arrested range in age from 27 to 55. Most lived in the area around Longview and Tyler.
