Two Dead In Hair Salon Shooting

A shooting at a local hair salon leaves two people dead.

It happened Wednesday afternoon at Textures and Tones Salon and Boutique in the 1600 block of Airline Drive in Bossier City.

Authorities have determined the shooting to be a murder-suicide. 

The man has been identified as 43 year old Lavance Deshannon Williams, who shot his estranged wife, 33 year old Lashontay Jimese Lewis. According to witnesses, Williams shot Lewis during an argument and then shot himself.  Police tell KTBS 3 News that  five other clients were also inside the salon, including the couple's 11 year old son, when the shooting happened. Thankfully, they were not injured.

No further details have been released. 

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the shooting and have no records of prior incidents involving the couple.
