A family dispute in Mooringsport turned deadly this morning, leaving a man dead and woman critically injured.

It happened at a home in the 8900 block of Lindsey Road near Highway 169 around 9:30 a.m.

Caddo Sheriff's detectives say 29-year-old Stuart Myers was shot and killed by his mother's boyfriend, 35-year-old Roderick Scott.

Officials say Scott then struck 27-year-old Leslie Moss with the shotgun.

She was taken to LSU Health Shreveport and is currently in serious condition.

Myers was pronounced dead at the scene.

Scott has been charged with second degree murder and second degree battery.

All four people lived together and Caddo Sheriff's deputies say they recently began arguing after Myers' mother and Scott decided to move out.
