In Bowie County, TX, the overpass at Hwy 151 to I-30 has been closed due to unsafe icy conditions, as well as Hwy 159 to 151.

The National Weather Service says they're receiving many reports of rain quickly transitioning to snow this afternoon.

This transition has been observed generally along and north of I-30 and even to the south of I-30 in portions of Northeast Texas. 

As of 4:45 p.m., the NWS confirms that bridges and overpasses are already beginning to ice up, even in locations where temperatures have not fallen below freezing. 

Officials warn that roads will become hazardous where accumulations reach an inch or more. 

2-3 inches of snow accumulation are possible along the I-30 corridor, with dusting to no accumulation expected along the I-20 corridor.
