Police are still hunting for the shooter in an early morning home burglary that left a Shreveport man dead.

It happened at a home in the 3000 block of Amherst Street in the Sunset Acres neighborhood just after 6 a.m. this morning.

When Shreveport Police and detectives arrived on scene, they found 22-year-old Duntavious Young in the front yard with a gunshot wound to the upper body.

Young was transported to LSU Health Shreveport where he has was pronounced dead.

Police say a black male suspect entered the home and demanded money from Young, before shooting him and leaving the scene on foot.
