On Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at 3:16 a.m., Tyler Police responded to the Speedy Stop Shop located at 900 W. Front Street in reference to a Commercial Burglar Alarm.

When officers arrived they found that someone had broken the glass door to the business. The suspect stole numerous packs of cigarettes from the display rack that was behind the counter.

Smith County Sheriff’s Department reported a similar burglary 30 minutes later, at a gas station located at 31 W. and Greenbriar Road.
