Members of the Shreveport Dog Park Alliance and the general public took their pups for a walk downtown. The Unsinkable Pup Walk was held Sunday afternoon. The event was designed to promote the final weeks of the Titanic Artifacts Exhibition at Sci-Port. Dozens of pets and owners walked to different rest stations where they heard Titanic re-enacters tell tales about themselves and the great ship. Walk organizers say having such an exhibition is rare for Shreveport.

"Typically, cities the size of Shreveport don't get something that special, " organizer Liz Swaine said. "So, the fact that it came here is amazing. The fact that Sci-Port was able to get it is incredible. We just want to remind people that it is here, but it's not going to be here much longer."

The Titanic exhibition runs until January 20th.
