The driver in a one-vehicle fatality on Boyter Lane in Caddo Parish lived nearby.
The Caddo Parish Sheriff's office has identified the victim as Johnny C. Johnson, 29, also of Boyter Lane.
His SUV hit a house at 7:30 p.m. at 13467 Boyter Lane outside of Vivian.

A 2002 Ford Explorer was southbound on Boyter Lane when the driver lost control in a curve at Monterrey School Road. Sheriff's Sgt. Michael Gray said the vehicle left the roadway hit mailboxes, went through two fences and a pasture, hit a tree in the front yard and came to rest against a house, knocking the front porch off. There was no one home at the time.

The driver was deceased at the scene. His identity has not yet been released. He is believed to be in his late 20s.

Caddo Sheriff's Office Traffic Safety Unit is investigating.
