Former President George H.W. Bush remains in a Houston hospital Thursday after being admitted last week for Bronchitis.

Former President George H.W. Bush is becoming more physically active but doctors in Houston are still not ready to discharge him from the hospital.

Hospital spokesman George Kovacik says the 41st president remains in stable condition Thursday.

Kovacik says doctors are pleased with Bush's progress but are being cautious with his care and are not ready to send him home.

Doctor's say Bush's ailment is not life-threatening.
