Sam's Southern Eatery in the 3500 block of Jewella Avenue has been robbed for the second time in the past week.
Police were called to the restaurant Monday evening following a report of an armed robbery. On scene at the business, authorities were advised that a male suspect entered the Sam's Southern Eatery armed with a handgun, jumped the counter and demanded money from the clerk. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled the business in what was described as a dark blue mini van possibly a Dodge model.
The suspect was described as a black male approximately 170 pounds, 5' 6" - 5'9" tall wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and armed with a black semi automatic pistol. Employees at the business advised authorities that the suspect in Monday night's robbery is believed to be the same person that robbed the business last week.
