Funeral services have been set for a local soldier, who was killed yesterday while returning from a post-hurricane Isaac mission in south Louisiana.
Visitation for 30-year old Sgt. Kevin Weiner will be Friday evening from 5 until 7 at Hill Crest Memorial Park in Haughton.
His funeral is set for 1 p.m. on Saturday, at Hill Crest, with full military honors.
Weiner died yesterday afternoon when his Humvee, which was part of a convoy, was hit from behind by a big rig on I-49 near Natchitoches.
He was assigned to the 165th CSSB out of Bossier City.
Sgt. Weiner leaves behind a wife and young children.
