Shreveport Police have deemed the remains found at North Shreveport business to be the severed hand and foot of a primate.

After responding to a call at Riegel By-Products (Louisiana Proteins Inc.) in the 500 block of Fortson Street, KTBS 3 News has confirmed that what was alleged to be human remains are animal remains.

The facility serves as a rendering plant, which converts waste animal tissue into stable, value-added materials.
