This morning Shreveport Regional Airport had an emergency landing when an American Eagle aircraft filled with smoke and was forced to land.

There were 48 passengers and no injuries.

American Eagle Flight 2871 from Jackson, MS to Dallas, was grounded when pilots detected electrical smell in the cockpit .. no smoke was ever seen, but pilots put on oxygen masks which is standard precedure and were diverted back to Shreveport Regional Airport. The plane landed safely about there were no injuries.
