The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office and fire officials are on the scene of a train derailment near Booker & Keithville-Keatchie Road.
It happened just before 9:30 Friday morning.
KTBS 3 News has learned that a Heckmann water resource truck was attempting to beat the train but could not cross due to a truck in front of him, the resource truck could not effectively reverse because there was a car behind.
The Union Pacific Train hit the truck and destroyed about a quarter of a mile of the track in front of it.
Investigator say the person who was stopped at the intersection preventing the rig from turning was not on scene when they arrived.
The driver of the rig says he thought the train was stopped on the tracks.
He suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Willis Knighton-South.
Fire officials say the conductor and engineer received minor injuries, bumps and bruises and were also transported to the hospital.
No hazardous chemicals were found.
The railroad and crossing are expected to be back open by 2pm.
