Victim Identified In Bossier Industrial Accident

An accident at a Bossier City machine shop, has left one man dead.

It happened Wednesday afternoon at the Cactus Wellhead facility in the 4100 block of Meadow Lane in Bossier City. 

Witnesses tell police that the victim, Bobby Wayne Higginson 59 of Homedale, Idaho, was helping load a large heavy piece of rounded steel, used in the manufacturing of oil and gas production equipment, onto his flatbed trailer when the steel began to roll causing the man to fall off the trailer. The 5000 pound piece of steel rolled off the trailer and onto Higginson. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Higginson was employed as an independent driver for an out of state transport company.
