The SAVE (Sexual Assault and Violence Education) Program at LSU Health Shreveport is sponsoring a violence prevention and awareness seminar, held June 19th and 20th. National Institute of crime prevention President Rod Reder and Vice President Bill Rousseau were the featured speakers. The office on Violence Against Women at the Department of Justice has awarded LSU Health Shreveport a $300,000 grant to enhance victim services, implement prevention and education programs and strengthen security strategies.  The funding comes from the Grants to Reduce Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault and Stalking on Campus program
