All of us forget names or words from time to time.

Like mechanic Gordon Williams. He admits he gets easily sidetracked while on the job, and sometimes his memory isn't as sharp as it used to be.

Gordon's not alone. But doctors say they can usually distinguish between occasional memory lapses and more serious conditions such as Dementia and Alzheimer's.

Experts recommend some tips to keep the mind healthy and sharp:

Stay active. Exercise improves circulation, which is good for vessels in the brain.

Get a good night's sleep, be social, and challenge your mind with puzzles and games.

And if you're like Gordon, write things down.
