A Texarkana, Texas neighborhood is taking caution after residents spot a wild animal on the loose.
Animal service officals say reports of a rather large cat, possibly a bobcat, has been seen roaming in the Northridge area.
They say the dry conditions could be causing coyotes and other the predatory animals to seek out food and water.
Here are some safety precautions to protect your pets and small children.
Don't let your pet roam off a leash.
Even a fenced back yard is not a safe place for a pet or child to be alone if there are wild animals in the area. Also, don't leave any food outside.
