Woman found murdered outside East Texas church is identified

A woman found shot to death early today outside a church in Longview, Texas, has been identified as Cynthia Weaver, 42, of Longview.

Police said Weaver was found lying on a bench outside Newgate United Methodist Church Mission on Mobberly Avenue about 3 a.m. She had been shot repeatedly.

No arrests had been made this evening.
