Shreveport Public Assembly & Recreation (SPAR) Sunset Acres Community Center announces its first annual Junior Prom to be held on September 15 at Hattie Perry Community Center, 4300 Ledbetter Street. The event’s purpose is to help promote a healthy self awareness through social activity for area youth.
The prom is geared toward youth between the ages of 6 (by January 1) and 12 (by September 14). Parents must register each participant prior to the event.
Limited space will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Applications are available at each SPAR community center. Registration starts on June 13, 2012.
The theme for the prom is “Reach for the Stars”. The theme colors are black, silver and gold. Dress for the event will be formal/semi-formal. A Prom King and Prom Queen will be crowned. Admission to the event is free. Parents, grandparents, family and friends are encouraged to attend.
