The Shreveport Airport Authority board today postponed adopting the 2010 operating budget for the city's two airports, keeping the possibility of a dozen employee layoffs in limbo.
Airport administrators are considering laying off 10 to 15 employees in order to deal with a projected $600,000 deficit.
The airport board will hold a special meeting to discuss the budget and the layoffs, airport spokesman Bill Cooksey said. The airports' budget have to be approved by Dec. 1.
