The transition to digital TV is just weeks away. On June 12th, if you aren't prepared, your television won't work.
We are committed to keeping you informed about the transition. The first thing you need to be aware of - not all antennas are created equal. The one that's right for you may not be right for everyone else. How far away you live from our tower in Moorinsport will help determine the strength of the antenna you need to buy.
If you are still confused about what kind of antenna is right for you, it's probably a good idea to head to an electronics store and discuss your needs with an expert.
What about converter boxes? Once you get your box programmed and you've scanned the television to find all the right channels - you aren't done. You may need to rescan the channels periodically.
It's not too late to get your converter box coupons. Just log on to dtv2009.com and click on the "apply for a coupon" link.
Even though most channels will go dark starting June 12th, KTBS is on your side as a "night light" station. After June 12th, we will continue to broadcast through analog, but in short segments giving viewers more information about the DTV transition.
