Better 911 communication in East Texas Play Video

In the past, if a 911 call was made from a cell phone, it was difficult for emergency responders to locate where the call was made.

Now, East Texans using cell phones have quicker emergency response with "Wireless Phase II." It gives dispatchers the callers latitude and longitude.

The agencies that have this service in our area are Camp, Marion, and Panola County Sheriff's Departments and Carthage Police Department.
