As a high school freshman years ago, Erik Weihenmayer decided he wouldn't let his blindness keep him from his dreams. An eye disease robbed him of his sight but it wouldn't keep him from reaching new heights, literally. Now an adult, Weihenmayer is the only blind person to climb Mount Everest.
In a new, award-winning documentary, blind mountain climber and inspirational author, Erik Weihenmayer, sets out to show the world that with hope and courage, you can face and overcome all your fears.
In his documentary, Weihenmayer takes six Tibetan teens to the top of Mount Everest.
Weihenmayer also shares his inspirational message around the U.S., including here in the Shreveport area.
You can find out more about weihenmayer's award winning documentary, "Blind Sight" being shown at Shreveport's Robinson Film Center www.robinsonfilmcenter.org.
