All eyes were on Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover Thursday night as Spring Lake residents were looking for answers about crime in their neighborhood.
They called a community meeting with city leaders to address they're concerns. A recent carjacking in their area has put them on edge.
Police say Derrick Doughty, 18, held someone at gunpoint on Natalie Street back on June 28th and stole the victim's car. Police say he was then involved in a chase with authorities. He was later arrested.
Officials say besides the carjacking, crime is pretty low in Spring Lake, when compared to other parts of the city.

Shreveport is a crime. Crime is lower in New Yor City than most parts of S'port so that is not a good comparison. S'port is just a little drug riddled New Orleans in the north of the state. It's only hope is to wipe it clean and start over. The individual that refers to itself as mayor does not deserve to live in the city much less be mayor. He needs to go back and live with his HOMIES in N.O. He fits in much better there.

What Glover has done to this city should be a crime. What a joke. Like he is really going to do anything.
