Thursday night thousands of partygoers will paint the town red as they ring in the new year.
"It's our biggest night of the year," said Tim Huck, owner of Phoenix Underground in Downtown Shreveport. "We start planning for this even back in October."
They also have to order plenty of liquor and decide on music for the evening to make sure the night is memorable.
With an ailing economy, Huck says people aren't spending as much money when they go out. So a night like this is big for business.
The Cub in Shreveport is also expecting a huge New Year's crowd.
"Usually what happens is everyone bar hops. So, we are one of the many stops," said Kerry Beebe, Cub Manager.
