Two men were rescued late this afternoon after their boat sunk on the southern end of Lake Bistineau.

One man was rescued by a fire and rescue squad from the South Bossier fire department and the other was plucked from the lake by a woman in a paddleboat, Bienville Parish Sheriff John Ballance said.

Ballance said the two men were in the water about an hour. There were concerns of hypothermia so they were taken to the hospital for observation.
