The White House says President Barack Obama will attend a memorial service Tuesday at Fort Hood where a gunman fatally shot 13 people.
Obama earlier today said in his radio and Internet address that the training designed to keep U.S. forces safe abroad prevented further deaths and ended Thursday's rampage.
More than two dozen people were wounded. The suspected gunman, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, was shot by police and remains hospitalized in San Antonio.
