Some students at Blanchard Elementary may be future scientists and mathematicians, and with the help of One School At A TIme they may be reaching their dreams even faster.
Students at the school are limited when it comes to getting hands on math and science lessons.
"Right now, if we're lucky, we might find a video, we might find a computer program, and usually we have to do it on the television screen or we have to work in very small groups," said Pamela Morgan an instructor at Blanchard Elementary.
That will soon change because the school received $3,000 One School At A Time. The money is going to buy a full set of microscopes to be used for all of our classes in the school.
They currently have three microscopes to share between the entire school. Now they'll be able to buy about 30 microscopes that will reach more students in a shorter amount of time.
Morgan said, "It gives them the opportunity to teach all of the children at the same time instead of always having to share materials."
