Part of US 71 closing in south Bossier Parish

Louisiana DOTD advises U.S. 71 will close today at 6:00pm between LA 527 and LA 4. Flooding conditions have made the road impassable for drivers. The road will reopen when waters recede.
For detours, DOTD recommends southbound drivers use LA 511 to LA 1 or I-49, and northbound drivers are advised to take LA 371 to I-20.
