Police in Paragould, Akansas say they recieved a threatening phone call at the police station before the weekend on Friday.
The caller was at a mobile home park and authorities say two officers responded shortly after they received the call. Through the investigation police say when the officers arrived, a man confronted them with a knife, refusing their orders to drop the knife and continued to head towards them. William Beasley, 45, was shot and killed with neither officer being injured.
Beasley's body was sent to the state crime lab and Arkansas State Police said they are conducting an ongoing investigation into the shooting.
