Markeece Mosely, the 17-year-old accused of murdering a Shreveport Green executive as she gave him a ride home, admitted killing her but gave no reason, Shreveport police said in a court document filed Monday.
Mosely is jailed on second-degree murder charges in last week's slaying of Yvonne Lee, the assistant director of Shreveport Green who headed up one of the envrionmental group's programs that provide jobs for at-risk youth.
Mosely made his initial appearance Monday in Caddo District Court. The public defender's office was appointed to represent him after Mosely said he had not hired a lawyer. The case is scheduled to be presented to the grand jury next month, after which Mosely will be arraigned.
In an affidavit, police detectives said Lee gave Mosely a ride home from work last Wednesday. They were driving down Wyngate Boulevard when Mosely pulled a gun from his waistband and shot Lee twice in the head, the affidavit said.
"Mosely advised that he did shoot the victim but did not know why he did it," a detective wrote in the affidavit.
Mosely ran approximately 500 yards to his home on Bartlett Street, where he was later arrested, police said.
Detectives said they have recovered a .40-caliber pistol that appeared to have blood on it. A bloody jacket was found in a trash bin about 100 yards from Mosely's home, police said.
A memorial service for Lee, 50, is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Osborn Funeral Home in Shreveport.

You are murdering trash. When will we ever learn that this community of people are a loud, vulgar and violent people who want food stamps, welfare and whatever they can steal from us.

I WOULD LIKE TO COMMENT ON DISGUSTED POST. YOUR POST IS VERY IGNORANT. JUST BECAUSE ONE PERSON DO WRONG THAT DO NOT MAKE EVERY COMMUNITY THE SAME. SO IF YOU SAID THAT IF HE DESERVED TO GO TO JAIL I WOULD HAVE NOT COMMENTED. JUST DON'T FORGET YOUR RACE IS ON WELFARE, GET FOOD STAMPS AND STEAL TOO. SO PRAYS GO OUT TO YOU DISGUSTED!!!!!!!

Disgusted, is it fair to say that you come from a community of uneducated, bigoted, lot dwellers? I should think not. This murderer committed a deplorable act of savagery. There is no need to judge a whole community for this individual's actions. I am sure food stamps or some sort of public assistance has been in your lineage. Shake your family tree. O.K. now, back to the subject at hand. My prayers go out to this beautiful woman who was trying to make a difference in the life of this thug. I think he should have a speedy trial and a short walk to death row.

CTHOMAS, you need to learn the english language. Spence35, you should understand I'm writing about percentages here and the percentages back up my statement. I have no problem with people receiving aid who are going through a rough patch. I do believe that you know I'm pointing out the lifestyle of many of those from that culture. My family and I are all very well educated and 'well read' also.
