It's been two weeks since a bus carrying youth from First Baptist Church of Shreveport had a blowout and flipped on its way to a retreat in Georgia.
Brandon Ugarte, 14, was killed in the accident. Another youth, 12-year-old Maggie Lee Henson, suffered head injuries and remains in critical condition at a Jackson, Miss., hospital.
Maggie Lee's mother, Jinny, said it will take a miracle for her daughter to be the thriving young woman she once was.
But the mother has faith the miracle Maggie Lee needs is possible -- and she gives thanks for the support and prayer she's getting from the community.
"I have just been overwhelmed by the body of Christ and how much love and support and encouragement and prayers have gone into this one little person," she said.
Jinny Henson said her son Jack has also become a source of comfort.
"He's been a real strength to me particulary, encourages me and tells me that everything is going to be OK," she said. "He quotes scripture to me. He's like his dad; he's like a rock."

As a dad of three kids that I love dearly, I can't imagine what your family has gone through since your church's bus wrecked a couple of weeks ago. Just know that I'm another christian brother that has prayed for your daughter. I will continue to do so... I will also encourage praying friends to lift her and your family up to Jesus. God bless. I am praying for Maggies complete restoration back to her former health. I have seen many miracles of healing within my own family and powerfully believe Maggie will be healed. One thing I have learned is that there is a battle in the heanly places between good and evil over her life. This can translate into hard and devastating times on earth while waiting. Keep doing what you are doing and please remember: God is never late but always on time.
May God bless you and your family with His full intentions for you and your family

My daughter was in a devistating accident on Easter Sunday and she fought for life for 10 days before accepting God's hand and leaving this earth. She was in the same trama condition as this little Maggie Lee who is now fighting for her life. Just know that God is with her. Standing beside her and they will have many conversations before her decision is made. Brande was a nursing student and a Donor. We recieved our first letter from one of her recipents this week. A teacher in Mississippi. What a Gift from God. I just want this family to know that when God chooses an angel there is no mistake. Whether he leaves that angel to work on earth or in heaven is his will. Brande is an angel in heaven doing work for God on earth by helping save lives with her organs. Lewis, our teacher in MS is complete proof of this. you can see the love on Brande Denson's web at http://brandesupdate.com
Maggie Lee you are in my prayers always.

I also wish to express my sincere sympathy in the loss of your beloved daughter. I have been so encouraged and blessed by the faith expressed in your daily online journal of your daughter's progress or lack thereof at times. I know that our God will comfort your family in this time of tremendous loss and joy and comfort will be one day restored in your hearts. I also believe through reading your words of faith that Maggie is indeed with her heavenly father at this very moment and her joy is overwhelming. God bless you all.
