It looks like Dogwood Bridge will hold. Forcht Wade inmates and national guard members and various agencies are all out at the bridge near Stockwell Road in Bossier City early this morning.
Sandbags have shored up the levee, and the Red Chute Bayou is cresting right now, so water is not expected to top the levee. Officials tell us neighbors who have evacuated the area will be called on their cell phones when it is safe to come back home.
This morning at 11:00am, the Caddo-Bossier Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness will update the Red Chute Bayou situation.
