Another waterway that's bursting at the seams is the Red River.  The river hasn't reached flood stage yet. It's expected to crest at 28 feet on Friday.  That's two feet below flood stage.  Officials with the Red River Waterway Commission say the extra water will back up into bayous, making drainage slower. 12 Mile Bayou empties into the Red River, so officials say there's no place for 12 Mile to empty into, so you may see water backup quickly in that area.  Officials say those public launches along the Red River will reopen  when the river gets back down to 18 feet.
