The secretary of the Air Force is in town to mark the 60th anniversary of the military branch.
Michael Wynne will speak at an invitation-only ball tonight at the Horseshoe Riverdome in Bossier City.
Barksdale is in the running for a cyber commander center that could mean thousand of jobs.
The secretary is not expected to discuss that project, although U.S. Rep. Jim McCrery said his visit is a good indication Barksdale is getting serious consideration.
