The Shreveport National Weather Service reports that Shreveport made it to 100 degrees today for the first time this year. We were also one degree shy of a record set back in 1882. Bossier City and adjacent areas like Keithville and Minden have been over 100 for much of this week.
An Excessive Heat Advisory lasts until 7 PM for dangerous levels of heat and humidity. The heat index at 5 PM was 111 degrees (in the shade). Our weather pattern does change for the better late in the upcoming weekend. For details, stay tuned to KTBS 3 News at 6 and 10 PM.
