Hundreds of items of counterfeit name-brand merchandise have been seized by Caddo Parish sheriff's deputies and Shreveport police in a week-long undercover operation.

Authorities seized more than 2,800 pairs of counterfeit Air Force One and Jordan tennis shoes during raids on Wednesday and Thursday.

 Two people have been arrested.

One raid by deputies and police officers on Thursday was at M&A Hobby Shop on Hearne Avenue. Authorities said they found boxes of counterfeit purses and shoes.

They also raided a house in the 7000 block of Brandtway and seized approximately 88 pairs of shoes.

Deputies also raided a house in the 2500 block of Woodford.

Most of the businesses that were visited voluntarily surrendered their counterfeit goods and were given cease-and-desist orders from manufacturers, Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator said.

"I have to suffer with the consequences," said Rollins "Shay" Moore, owner of M&A Hobby Shop. "It's a loss. I'm done with it, so I'm telling everyone everybody: 'It's best (that) if you're doing it, it's best for you to stop it.'"

Diane Thomas, 46, and Quinntell David Hall, 21, were arrested.

The Caddo-Shreveport Financial Crimes Unit conducted the investigation.
